Resources
One of the key goals of AAEE is to provide helpful resources to our membership. In addition to our frontline resources, such as the Journal and our Conference, we also have a number of other projects - either completed or ongoing - that are intended to help make your job a little easier.
The Bibliography
One of our more ambitious projects in recent years was the collation of the AAEE bibliography. Led by the University of Adelaide's Holger Maier, this project brought together the key publications on a number of relevant topics. There is a wealth of literature out there, but not all of it is equally useful. The bibliography gives you a starting point for accessing information about a range of different topics.
We are always looking for new contributions to our bibliography - either to update existing topics, or to add new ones.
JournalWatch
It is very easy (and all too common) to judge a Journal by its Impact Factor. But there is more to it that just one number - when considering where you should send the fruits of your labour for publication, there are a whole raft of different factors you should consider. Review timeframes, publication fees, electronic access, IP transfer - these are just some of the factors that can matter when it comes to chosing a Journal.
The JournalWatch project is intended as a restaurant review-style guide to Journals in Engineering Education - a forum for authors to share their experiences with different journals, so that other authors can make an informed choice when it comes to submission of their manuscripts.
College of Experts
There are a lot of smart people who are members of AAEE. This expertise is spread over a whole range of topics, but it is not always well know which person matches to which topic. The College of Experts is intended to remedy this - to put faces and names to the expertise, and to identify who are the leading people in our community for the different aspects of what we do.
